(Verse)
I finally get around to dialing the number
That 1-800 I so dearly dread, I do
I give myself a pep talk
This call won’t take that long
But an hour and 2 minutes later I was wrong

(Chorus)
I’m still on hold
I should’ve used the bathroom
My latte’s taking its toll
Feels like I’m in the twilight zone
Lost track of time and date and year
How long have I been sitting here?
As the world keeps turning endlessly
I’m still on hold

(Verse 2)
My mood ring goes from pink to a bright orange
Wish I could use this time to do my nails, I should
And while I’m doing my right pinky
I hear this human voice
that tells me I selected the wrong option
And redirects my call

(Chorus)
So I’m still on hold
My bladder’s about to burst
I should’ve used my wireless phone
I’ve never felt so alone
Can anyone out there relate?
Hot damn it’s getting really late
All I did at work today is stay on hold

(Bridge)
And then my sugar drops to 40
My head begins to fall
I should be dialing 911
but if I do I’ll lose this call

(Chorus)
I’m still on hold
I knew I should’ve worn a diaper
Where’s my wireless phone?
I’ve never felt so alone
I’ve never stayed at work this late
I’ll have to cancel that hot date
All I did at work today was stay on hold (hold)

I never stayed at work this late
I’ll have to cancel that hot date
I’ll have to cancel that hot date
All I did at work today is stay on Hold

Never stayed this late before
That’s it, I’m running out the door
I gotta keep my cool I know they’ll answer
Before I hit the floor
